Michaux , Henri ?

found this rather nice pen and ink drawing on sunday the signature is Michaux could this be an early work by Henri Michaux , mostly known as a writer and poet and for his abstract works done in the 50s under the influence of mescalin his first exibition was in the 20s and the drawing technique (on my drawing) as well as the medium resemble strangely those hallucinatory drawings. Would be a bit of a jackpot if it was true so I have my doubts, oh and I bought it because I liked it

Usually is signature is "HM"

its definitely not the signature stylised seen on his work from the 50s but often when artists get on a bit they go for contrived signatures whats interesting is that there seems to be an H before the Michaux but maybe there are lots of H Michauxs who are artists i know there are at least three with the same name as me

this book signature doesn't seem to bear any resemblance and the drawing itself is not striking any chords with the pieces on the net , but I know nothing about him
