ID help [please amber pressed glass candleholders?

I have these two amber pressed glass? items which I assumed were candleholders. The interior however seems too small to take a candle so any thoughts on use.date and maker would be appreciated. They are 3 1/4inches diameter x 2 inches deep. The base has a crosshatched finish and each of the indents has a small "wing" which appears to have been pinched and pulled whilst glass soft.

I am by no means (and far from it) an expert in glass however, candle holders, ashtrays etc I see a lot of in the course of my buying and selling. I would not be 100% certain without being able to look closely and hold the items but I think there is a good bet that those are Blenko glass. I have seen very similar pieces by Blenko in the past.

Somewhere to start anyway.

Kosta Boda are doing something very similar - sunflower candle holders. But I haven't seen them in amber, and I'm not sure the base is like that.
