Just noticed this from Peter on another thread about the Viking carafe: "Actually it started as a green bottle made to order by Holmegaard Glasswork in 1955 to the company Torben Anton A/S and had the seal C4, later it was put into production and sold to the public under the name "Viking" but with the seal as a viking face and in other colors as well and cordial glass was added."
Well this is definitely a green bottle but the seal doesn't say C4. I see they put other seals on the bottles, too (I've just seen one with the Christianshavn seal on it). I wonder what this is!

All the Holmgaard carafes I've found have an applied blob of glass that's impressed with a seal of a limited number of designs. This, however, doesn't. So my guess is it's not Holmegaard.

Yes, you're right. There are two small raised blobs on the base, too, if that's any help.

And the guy I bought it from told me it came in a lot with an Erik Hoglund bowl and a Randsfjord Motzfeldt vase, so I'm assuming we're in the right part of the world even so.
