Don't know if this fits in this section – please move if appropriate.

I was wondering if, short of a thorough catalogue of Scandinavian cased glass items, there are any useful ways of telling if a piece is Scandi or Italian/German/other. For example, do all Scandinavian pieces have colourless glass visible at the base? Do they have ground pontils? Etc.

Any advice gratefully received!

There aren't really any fixed rules - differs from factory to factory, sometimes from vase to vase.
