Years ago we went on a road trip across the states and I picked this little bowl up for 50cents or similar. Its not worth anything but its nice and its still here in use as a peanut bowl!. At the time I saw lots of these around and about so I imagine it is fairly ubiquitous. I guess it dates from the 50's but could be earlier? No marks that I can see but the centre piece on the base (is this the pontil?) has a cloudy, bubbly opaque finish. Anyone recognise it - sorry that it is so low brow but there is no accounting for taste!! Or lack thereof ....

Bowl is roughly about 6 inches in diameter - you know, about peanut bowl size!
