Pottery Lidded Box circa 1926
This box was a wedding present to my Mother & Father and I wonder if anyone can suggest the origin from the attached photos.

Faint Mark in blue ink reads DEC2475 The 31 also in blue is on its own.
The box measures 210mm L X 120mmW X 110mmH
The Floral decoration is repeated on the reverse side and appears to be hand painted. the green dots on the banding certainly are.

Thank you both for such a prompt and informative reply.
The date of 1924 makes sense allowing transport to New Zealand and then purchase as a gift.

Re: Pottery Lidded Box circa 1926

I realise this is an old post, but I'm really interested in it as this biscuit box belonged to my great grandmother. She died in 1906. So I assume this is older than the 1920s. Also interesting mine has no other marks besides the same Royal Vienna shield imprint/"beehive" and the 2838/1. I saw a blank one somewhere else too. So clearly they were into making these boxes all things for all people. I thought this one must be Delft for obvious reasons, but clearly not.
