Thank you for your speedy response but I am curious why you would say Luigi Bormioli. If you look on Google Images or search on E-Bay none of his pieces have any resemblance to the one I posted.

1970s Bormioli had quite a lot of auto-blown amber glass in its range. The newer output tends to just be clear drinkware.
Of course, there were likely other Italian companies producing similar wares - amber was very popular then.

Do you think the script impression,"Made in Italy" on the bottom provides any clues as to manufacturer.
