Tremaen started in marazion , near penzance -so that would explain label , but if piece is simon leaper then label must be wrong and hence 64p price wrong for the dish Shrugs

unless it's a sticker printed for a craft market which sold Leaper pottery and shared the Tremaen name and logo?

I would guess that they not only sold their own work in the shop hence the label.

'earlier today I asked the owner of the website for his input'

and what did he say?

he hasn't replied to my email yet but I bet they sold Leaper pottery at their Penzance shop, the only thing that doesn't make sense to me is the date, surely Simon was very young in 1965?

Well , I am basing the date on the Tremaen pottery on the studio pottery site ,saying that it was originally based near penzance 1965-67 , then moved to newlyn and the labels then read "newlyn", however if they had a shop in penzance then maybe this is they label they used there .

Didn't I just say that Pondering

As it appears to be a shop label, its not beyond imagination that they carried on using it up untill the early 80's, even though they had moved their retail side to The Sloop Craft Market.
