Dimpled Pot - maybe Clary Illian Empty Dimpled Pot - maybe Clary Illian

Take a look at this pot I bought a few weeks ago for 50p. Dimpled pots are few and far between on the Web. Mine is made from red clay and is 13cm tall. It has a creamy, drippy, glossy glaze, three sets of dimples and three sets of brown leafy decoration. The neck is nipped and the majority of the interior is unglazed. Sorry about the poor pic of the base. The embossed mark could be two KKs back to front like Colin Kellam (at first I thought they were arrow heads). However, the outline of the mark (square on one end and round on the other) matches perfectly. Could this be an early Colin Kellam?   Shrugs

impossible to tell from the pic,you could try a brass rubbing of the mark to make it clearer or a bit of soot rubbed over it might work?

Sorry, camera not up for close-ups. Here's another pic with talc but hasn't improved legibility.

Dimpled Pot - maybe Clary Illian Empty Dimpled vase

Here's a sketch of the mark. You can see why I initially thought there were arrows within the mark. Any help?

I haven't seen that stamp on Kellam pots and doubt there is a Kellam connection

the mark looks familiar though so we need to move it to the pottery id area

Here's another pic of the pot base showing "spiky" mark. Still not very good. Shrugs

DTM thought my sketch of the base mark was familiar. Perhaps it is the mark of Fillipides Sotis? - shown below

A second opinion onthe origins of my dimpled vase has given this result.
"Your pot is a one-off studio pottery piece. It has a Japanese influence on a terra cotta base with a shiny slip surface. Unfortunately it is very difficult to find the maker for these individual pieces, there are so many studio potters dotted around the UK and unless they are well known like Bernard Leach and his family of St Ives, Cornwall, they are hard to find and to date, however, I would date your pot around 1970s, that is when this type of shape and decoration was popular."
Would the Forum agree or disagree with this evaluation? Has anyone anything to add that might be useful? V Shrugs

The last photo of the mark looks very like Clary Illian - https://pin.it/ltrgE32
