Amethyst encased vase with white lining,
I am hoping for some Id help on this vase, I am not holding out much hope of it being of real interest as the base looks quite poorly finished but then I am just starting to feel my feet with glass so who knows!

You do see a LOT of these around.
They could be Chinese but from what I've seen I believe that Japanese is more likely from 50s-end 70s latest.
