Insane Cat Plaque Vallin?
I have this plaque of an insane looking cat that has me stumped. My feeling is French, but I don't know. It is hand formed from a coarse clay, the back has concentric indentations. It measures 10.5" x 15.25" and is marked on the front "VALLIN" and a cipher underneath in a pot with initials CHF or HF. I saw a similar tile with a hippo for sale on ebay a few years ago, but with no attribution. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The only potter I know of with that surname was Eugene Vallin but he was working in France around 1900-1920 as far as I can remember

Thanks, I did find him in my searches but this doesn't seem to fit into images I see of his work.
