I've been selling some pieces to Australia.

I'm always amazed by the perfection of your displays, I'm sure John would love to add some images to the virtual museum of Poole pottery

Re: How do you display your collection?
Ill post this here to try and get some most post in this neglected thread.
I used to love seeing other people posts and nosing about their interiors ...."Ohh what a ghastly sofa"
So at gorgeous Farnham Pottery vase (TY Ed) dated and signed 1918(?). One of the most beautiful Chelsea Pottery dishes I've seen ...reminds me of the BIBA look. And thirdly a so cute Chinese dragon vessel from the 20's or 30's? (comments welcome) with bad damage/repair but so funny. Fills at the top and pours through the mouth. For wine?
Enjoy...

Now that is an eclectic mix. Much prefer to se this that all of one pottery.
I know nothing about glass but is that Loetz Papillon first photo, front, second in from the right?

Yes, you are correct. A lucky charity shop find! My collection is ever changing with a few pieces that I'll probably never part with.

Re: How do you display your collection?
I only know as I also found one in a charity, sticky and covered in dust (but undamaged). Yours is much nicer, looks like it sits well in the hand. Lovely collection.
Anything there you are partially proud of?

In love with the Derek Clarkson, it's a recent purchase, I've always admired his work his brush strokes are so fluid and confident.

Also the Michael Casson in the other cabinet, it just breathes quality and all the years of experience behind it.

Re: How do you display your collection?
Derek Clarkson is a really underestimated potter. What I really like is his porcelain crystalline glaze pieces, which are probably amongst the best in the studio pottery field.
Lovely display.

Re: How do you display your collection?
Thought I would offer a pic of my current mantlepiece ( a nice piece of Lake District slate ) display that includes a Derek Clarkson 4" pot - on the right next to the Poole atlantis. I know nothing about him but I bought it cos I liked it. It came with the other two similar pieces that are further along. Also attached pics of shelf that is above mantlepiece and 2ft below ceiling, it is about 3.5" deep with a groove routed in it so that 3 x 16" chargers can sit on shelf without fear of falling and they can be rotated for others whenever I fancy a change.
