I’ve moved the query to a separate thread. It’s different from the JF mark in the other post; unlikely to be by Joan Faithful imo

Hello,
Definitely not by my mother, but interesting to see how common the merged "JF" mark seems to be. You can see some of other UK/Irish ones in Naomi's excellent British and Irish Pottery Studio Pottery Marks database here:
https://bispm.co.uk/search.php?searchtext=JF
(scroll down the page to load more images)
It doesn't seem to match anything there, but there must be lots of JF American potters not included in this database...
There is an American ceramics marks database here:
https://www.themarksproject.org/search-marks?field_mark_image_type_value=Mark&mark_text=&mark_letters%5B%5D=F&mark_letters%5B%5D=J
but nothing quite like your mark. All databases are incomplete unfortunately, so this faulure-ti-identify is quite common. Let us know if you do find out though..
Good luck!
John
