Aviemore Pottery
Hi all, new to the forum. I bought this piece of pottery yesterday at a local flea market and quickly came home to do a Google image search to learn more about it which lead me to this particular forum convo. My salt pig does look very much like the last poster's (trefor_d) except mine is brown where theirs is blue. Neither are marked. My question - all the Aviemore pottery I'm seeing online is marked with the circular stamp. Is it possible that my salt pig and trefor_d's are actually not Aviemore since the forms are the same, glaze is same but both are missing the stamp? I just can't find any other examples of pottery attributed to Aviemore that DO NOT have the stamp. Even the few I've found with the same form are stamped. Thoughts? (apologies the pics are sideways - after multiple attempts I could not get them to upload upright)

Re: Aviemore Pottery
Definitely Aviemore, just by style alone. They have strong and lasting style of decoration. The stamped mark sometimes wears away over time. More info on our Aviemore thread,
