Help with identification of Willow pattern jug
Hi
Could anybody help me with identification of this jug. I cannot find the mark being referenced anywhere apart from 1 listing on etsy but it doesn't give any information. It has got a lid which I'm not sure if it's original or not. If anybody could give me the pottery conpany and approx year of manufacture it would be greatly appreciated.
The jug with lid is approx 4 3/4 inch high
Many thanks
Mike

Re: Help with identification of Willow pattern jug
The letters TC were letters used by Thomas Cone Ltd, Alma Works, Langton Staffs from 1892-1912. There were several different printed or impressed marks of various forms in this period.
You have to remember of course that back then the Staffordshire pottery was a gigantic industry. Producing a large proportion of the world's pottery. Literally hundreds of millions of pieces. So this would have been just one amongst a vast number.

Not saying it isn't.
But just pointing out that the stamp says T & Co, not TC. In case this makes a difference.

The mark doesn't seem to be in Goddens. If one assumes it's Staffordshire, then
there are a couple of possibilities here, but no marks are shown.

Maybe Turner & Co?

Hi
Thank you for the replies. I must admit I thought it was T & Co as well.
I've looked further and still can't find anything.
Regards
Mike
