Just found this nice obituary of Renee Simm, who ran the art supplies and art shop beside the Greyfriar Bobby statue in Edinburgh. According to my mum and dad, she was the major dealer in studio pottery in Edinburgh in the 1950s, and the first to sell Bernard Leach and Michael Cardew pots there. She also sold Alex Sharp and my mum's pots alongside them in the 1950s and 60s... I think that the shop was  known as Mellis Simm before it became the Greyfriars Art Shop.

I hadn't realised that she had a big collection of her own Leach pots which she slowly sold for income in her old age.
