One would probably guess it is Chinese. Any British Studio potters who had the skill to do those sort of glazes. Would surely mark their work.

You’re probably right. I’d definitely sign it fully if it was my work ! I guess there maybe haven’t been so many potters here producing glazes like this over the last 30 or 40 years so if it is a British studio piece then someone will recognise it.

It's Chinese, IMO, and judging by the footrim, not very old.

I looked at foot rims on older pieces on eBay and there were none like this. It does look like a fairly modern piece.
