thick orange vase

no pontil mark,smooth outside,lumpy inside.
any ideas please?

Are those glittery white bits near the rim tiny bubbles Dan? Also, can we see a photo of the base please - you can tell quite a lot from the base finish.

yes it has bubbles throughout Pip, the base is totally featureless but shiny & slightly concave

What about the rim? Is it ground down or firepolished?

the upper rim is ground flat but it seems to have a double skin? A bowl within a bowl..
The base is perdectly rounded around the edge
the 'double skin' may just be the score mark left by a tool though
