It's not Will Illsley's mark.
Marie Hamer is still a possibility - the Marks book says her trident mark was used on 'functional reduced stoneware' 1970-74 - but I haven't seen it in the flesh

I suspect what we call her trident mark is just a lower case m combined with lowercase h. I've not seen that mark positively attributed to her on the Internet. I've only seen an MH mark.

It strikes ,e as an M mark. Similar to that used by Micki Schloessingk and early Mary Rich

There is a horizontal line that continues up, but it is obscured by the glaze.
