Winchcombe mark with added numbers? Empty Winchcombe mark with added numbers?

Hi, no problem IDing this jug as  Winchcombe, but I was interested in the significance of the added stamped numbers which I haven’t come across before? Reads 26 and 98. Any thoughts please? Can it help date the jug? Thanks

Is it the date it was made? 02/06/98?

Also I believe Winchcombe pottery was founded in 1926. So might be something to do with that.
