Title says it all. It’s a really nice piece. I can’t make out the signature tho. Looks like Amy?Help IDing Unusual Wide Rim Matte Yellow Glaze Vase Img_7110

You are going to be very lucky to write a signature like that on any pot or painting for that matter.

It's stoneware and from the base it looks as if it could be wood-fired.

I note where you live and so wondered if it might have been made by someone associated with Jeff Shapiro.

That’s incredible that you identify the technique through the photos. I’m not familiar Jeff Shapiro work. His stuff looks wild tho (in a good way). Do you think I should reach out to him?

Potters generally are quite happy to give an opinion, as long as you don't bombard them with emails.

However since writing the above I did remember where I had seen a similar glaze to that on your vase and it was on a yunomi by Peter Callas that I own. Peter is based in New Jersey and I don't think it is his signature but, again, it might be someone associated with him.
