Mystery object stoneware with green glaze and AV mark.

It's a mystery to me. Any ideas? Appears to have a water stain line halfway up the side, could this be a clue? Best regards Pugmill

Wendy Green had a similar mark but it was usually written

The hole is for a spoon. So with a cover its probably a condiments Jar.

Could it be for yarn/ string? Poked through the hole in the green part?
