DJH - yeah couldn't rule that out, I see it!
Me too Naomi, the seller said that an expert had been along to her table and said it was by a Cornish potter and that he would be back to buy it. I'm guessing he tried to look it up and couldn't find anything so didn't return to buy it. I didn't mind as I love it.

might be looked upside down ...like HR ? I don't think it's the letter D because it's not really rounded, but rather angular Pondering
