Van Briggle (USA)

Thought I would put something in the American section. Think the mark is 1934. Note again my fascination for shaded blues Dan. lol. Susan.

ps and does anyone know what the heck my lamp is?

VAN BRIGGLE MULBERRY POPPY VASE OR BOWL
I just got this little guy, and he is about 4" tall 5" wide. The flowers sculpted or raised from the vessel. I think its mullbery glaze and I believe its poppies (flowers)? I am not sure. I am trying to figure out if this is old or new...

Re: Van Briggle (USA)
the "D" has something after it... and the CO under the COLO SPGS, is for Colorado.. I live in Denver, so its not too surprising to find a piece of van Briggle.

Van Briggle dragonfly vase
The color looks good, the pattern looks good, the size is good(7") but the mark is pretty messed up. Glaze over the Van Briggle, Briggle written so the ending of the name goes uphill, no Colo Spgs. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Thanks

Re: Van Briggle (USA)
The vase appears to be legitimate Van Briggle. In later years, I think some of the artists signed their names which may be the case with the markings beneath the cypher. I believe Van Briggle is still in operation, so you may be able to contact the pottery for clarification.

Re: Van Briggle (USA)
Thanks, I did contact the website and have confirmation, that it is real.
"This vase is an early Van Briggle vase that dates to the teens era. They
would use a darker clay during this period and often times the glaze is
smudged on the bottom of the pieces."
"The base has the AA logo and van briggle in script...written in almost
cursive which is typical for this era."

Re: Van Briggle (USA)
Can't believe it. I was right. It's a pre 1912 Van Briggle vase. I'm not sure how to transfer this to the "found the maker" section, but it's Van Briggle.
