Would love to know the maker or region? I've guessed at generic central Europe production?

I would say so. It feels and looks 60's to me. This below pic may be better for the lettering, I wonder if anyone else may have stumbled cross something similar.

It does look European but I have never seen anything like it or, if I have, quickly dismissed it from my mind.
