The stamp is Japanese kanji. Same mark on both vases but I can't read it

They don't appear typical of any distinct type of pottery produced in Japan therefore being able to read the kanji isn't likely to help with their identification.

Thanks studio, i appreciate the feedback.
I was initially curious as to whether they were examples of something that is churned out, or not, specifically for tourists. I like the glaze on both of them, and the fact that they are so small.

My thoughts are that they were just inexpensive gifts for tourist that visit pottery areas and that the kanji might say something like that or, at best, a kiln name that would be meaningless to all of us.

The glaze aren't of any great interest to me, as they are glazes that have been copied by Western potters over the decades and are, therefore, over familiar. However as I have said elsewhere, maybe I have seen too much studio pottery.

Thank you studio, that confirms what I suspected.
They do not sing quality, to my untrained eye, and as much as I admire them, they do not excite me in the same way as a Lloyd Jones yunomi might.
I guessed right, so glad to have that confirmed by an expert on such matters. Very grateful you have seen too many pots, glad to be able to tap into your knowledge.
Thanks again 👍
