Could do with a bigger clearer photo of the mark. The gloss reflection also does not make the glazing too clear. Need to take that type of photo at a slight angle. Loos nice though. What size is it?

The plate measures apx 28cm dia.
I've replaced the pics with slightly higher res ones. Will upload better angles tmrw, after I dig it out.. If I can just remember where that safe location was..
Actually Philpot, was wondering, the original files were around 3MB, what's the best way to upload for max resolution?
Or will they all be reduced to roughly the same size?

It is well made and well decorated and I can understand why you think it could be Japanese and it might be. The painted mark doesn't help me either.
I can't re-call seeing anything like this before, as it isn't in a style that I have interest in these days. It does look to be a very good piece of work nevertheless.

I don't know the mark but I don't think it's Japanese. The pink spots in the blue glaze are typical of Western studio ware made in the past couple of decades

It's a shame the overglaze hides so much of the decoration.
I think it's probably British, but it is a difficult one.

That's my quarm with it, the painting underneath isn't quite stylized or bold enough to come through.

A lot of pottery is trial and error, if the kiln hit a slightly different temprature, or if the dish was located in a different area of the kiln, the glaze could have come out better or worse, so many variables.
Despite the decoration not showing though as it may have, it's my favourite of your pots so far!

I wonder how difficult the 'Snowflake Crackle' glaze is to control?
I believe that particular Glaze has to be very thick, to get the purposeful fracture.
It does seem there's alot of aspiring potters out there, producing pieces with good outcomes.
So it could well be a modern, western piece by unknown artist to be fair.
I just feel the mark and cherry blossom scene is Japanesie.
..and am well glad you like it Potty .
