It looks like they're from the same artist, why would they have different marks on them?

Italian pottery, like this, is traditional folkware rather than studio pottery. The pottery style and decoration is passed down the generations, providing a living to families of throwers and decorators making similar pots, so the decoration is typical of the region where it was made

It’s an export code rather than a pattern number; V/5. Unfortunately most of the records for Italian production ware were lost in the 90s
