Off piste Earthenware/Terracotta bowl with unusual pinched lug handles.
Dear all
Don’t think this is a 20th century piece but would appreciate any feedback or thoughts regarding possible age, country of origin etc…
A small bowl which I think is made from either earthenware or terracotta. Unusual pinched handles/lugs which I hoped might help to indicate the origin of the piece.
No marks. Round base. Some charring. Think it might be of coil construction. One of those pots that I enjoy irrespective of it’s possible provenance.
As always any pointers or suggestions gratefully received!

Re: Off piste Earthenware/Terracotta bowl with unusual pinched lug handles.
I suspect it’s either made for the re-enactment societies or by one of the potters who likes recreating ethnographic pots for museums and universities
