Thank you, I thought that then I didn't know if it was upside down and I was stumped by the empty rectangular box.

Looks like early 20thC art pottery, but unlike anything I've seen from Devon.

It looks like one of the North Devon Art Potteries. Brannam or Baron.These were centred on Barnstaple and were highly successful Art potteries.
