Aldermaston Pottery lustre glaze test pot

Individual separate marks on Aldermaston tend to be prosaic or personal.Marks on lustre work tends to be glaze codes. Other marks are decidedly uncommon, and would probably be personal to the potter. Glaze, style, shape, clay type variation.... That sort of thing.

When the Aldermaston closed in 1993, each of the potters was given a similar Red lustre goblet similar to these. These cost £120 the pair direct from the pottery in 1988. Which was quite an amount of money back then! not by myself. I bought them a good deal later, for good deal less.

This is the original hand written receipt  for the goblets above. I wonder if the signature is that of Alan Caiger Smith? This is the only receipt from Aldermaston I have ever seen.
