Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me identify what type of pottery this is or who made it. It looks a bit like some Mata Ortiz pottery I've seen, but I can't find anything definitive to say whether or not that's what it is. I am in the Southern U.S. and bought this piece at an estate sale. The homeowner had a lot of Native American pottery, so it could have originated from there.

There is no artist signature of any kind that I can see. On the bottom, there is a piece of cork glued very tightly that covers the entire surface.

I love this unique piece. I just hope someone can help me determine what it is or where it came from.
