Hi,

A friend bought this jug in the past couple of days and would like some help with ID. I'm stumped, can anyone else help?

Not a mark I've come across before. Dated 1953 which is probably why it's not in the Marks book

Might be a CM monogram. Probably a student or hobby potter. A professional potter wouldn't have time or a need to put a whole date on.
