Art Nouveau fluted rim bowl dish with design painted over pontil mark
Hi, I am trying to identify this glass dish/bowl with ruffled or fluted rim that measures approximately 7.5" wide and 2.5" high. The painting is red and greens stylized art nouveau vines with gold accents. The overall outside color is a muted yellow and the interior of the bowl appears milky white. The bowl weighs approximately 1pound and 9.2 ounces. The bottom has a pontil mark with a painted "maker's mark"?? stylized design painted over it that looks somewhat Indian to me but I'm not sure why. I admit that I know next to nothing about glass so it is difficult for me to accurately describe it. Is this considered to milk glass? Is the design that is painted over the pontil mark a known maker's mark or just decorative?
