Help with identifying maker's mark and origin of figurine.
Hi there,
I only recently joined the forum so would ask you to be patient with what might seem to be a simple enquiry.I enclose two photographs of a ceramic figurine measuring 5.5 inches in length and 4 inches tall at the head.the pierot/Clown figure has a maker's mark consisting of a coronet with RL and A1 beneath it.the coronet looks rather like an Italian capodimonte mark and my suspicion is that the piece is Italian, but I don't know this for a fact.If anyone would be kind enough to supply any information,i would be very grateful, and thank you in advance for your time and trouble on my behalf.
