Sorry for the green number, it is actually the price i bought it and unfortunately i didn't manage to erase it not even with alcohol or polishnail remover.
I have a feeling that the vase is an old chinese ceramic but i ' m waiting for other opinions.
An advice on how to remove the marker writings from ceramics would be much appreciated. In fact i have most of my pieces written on by that junk seller. This piece may be an old chinese ? Img_2018

There appears to be a potter's monogram written in brown glaze on the base. I think it's European studio pottery but I'm afraid I don't know the maker

Thanks, Naomi ! In fact it is like scratched but it doesn't matter of course. I thought it is oriental chinese or japanese maybe view that pattern on it. And it seems very old, the ceramic is light and it has a specific echo when knocked on.

It looks much more like a modern glaze and base than an old chinese vase. I would agree with Naomi, modern European studio pottery.

Chinese decoration was based on traditional motifs like clouds and fungai, and they would carve the base to remove the excess clay. This decoration doesn't seem to represent anything and the base looks wire cut and then wiped smooth. Although it's possible the studio potter was influenced by Asian ceramics
