Need help to identify huge table/floor lamp
Hello, it’s been a long time I was here :-)
I need help to identify a really huge (diameter 55 cm!) table (or floor) lamp probably from the (late?) 1970s. I found it in the streets, the condition is mediocre and it had the worst „breading“ of nicotine I have ever seen, but I think the lamp is worth saving it.
Formally it looks a bit like a 2000s retro furniture store chain lamp: the silhouette of the lampshade and also the stand. BUT looking in the details makes me think the lamp is vintage: the stand is really massive and the chrome looks like it has been regularly cleaned for a few decades :-); the sockets are definitely „old“; the switch is made by German quality brand BERKER; the central plastic part is totally cracked due to loss of softeners; all together I would date the lamp late 1970s?!?
Any opinions, ideas?
Big thanks in advance, Dan
