Glass bowl - modern ?

This glass bowl has no markings - so I'm guessing it's a made in China job? 
It has cut glass to the bottom - I've seen many items like this - should this be a clue to telling me it's age or origin?

I wouldn't assume anything from the lack of marks, 95% of glass is unmarked.

Thanks Chas - I didn't actually know this. I've tried to search the Internet for a similar design - but couldn't find anything even vaguely similar sadly. I'm just interested to know if there's any history to it

That looks moulded rather than cut glass
