Terracotta head?????? Empty Terracotta head??????

Anyone any idea what this may be, where it’s from and age. It was in a lot purchased a auction. Has 2 holes at the bottom and a larger one at the top. No idea of its purpose. Help appreciated.Terracotta head?????? 8c3a8210

Looks like an oil lamp. The wick would sit in the hole
