Willow Pattern Plate ??? Is this English or Another Please help!!!
I have seen Willow Pattern pieces since i was a child and did at one time remember the full
story about the subject of the design, This plate seems a little different from the others i still
own as it has a lot more blue to the underside like you might see on a flow blue piece in a way
I still think it might be a transfer printed piece not hand painted but feels a little bit different.
Would anybody be able to date this or say where it may have been made i can imagine that
maybe difficult as these were made in massive quantities but thought i would show it. tHANKS

I think it's early 19thC transfer printed willow pattern from one of the Staffordshire manufacturers but you'd need the encyclopedia on willow patterns to narrow it down. This is what the author said:
Connie Rogers
I documented 409 potteries in the U.K. that produced the willow pattern from c. 1780 to 2000 in my book, The Illustrated Encyclopedia of British Willow Ware, pub. by Schiffer. And that includes only the marked pieces! Considering that many of the potteries were too small or short-lived to have a resident engraver, many potteries bought the engravings from various engraver shops. Unmarked pieces also came from engraver shops. How are you going to research those? I have found another 75 or so marked pieces of willow with initials and/or name of maker since the book was published. There is no end to it.....
