Soda glazed mini mug spiral mark - potter?

I picked up a pair of mini mugs thinking they were Maze Hill pottery. One had the expected MP mark, but the other has a spiral mark instead, although it’s virtually identical in construction and firing. Any ideas about the maker - I can’t find this mark associated with the pottery? Thanks
