It does look a lot Mulcheney like. But John Leach himself seems to have been very careful about his own mark being clear. He seems to have been well aware of its value. Nick Rees or one of the other Mulcheney potters?

I think Rees and Melbourne were careful to have their own styles; I can’t see them making something that could be confused for a John Leach

If John was aware of value and marks then David most certainly was.
I would go for a Muchelney piece with the stamp missing.

It was found in the Muchelney area so that’s very likely. Might be one of Ben Leach’s. Reminds me of a local dealer saying he had two unmarked pieces which were bought by John Leach’s family, and they told him they were decorated by John himself

Back in the early 1990s when I first visited the pottery most of the pots had similar glazes to that and virtually all of them were just stamped Muchelney.
