Vintage studio planter, greeny-blue and white. No mark
Swirly wax resist design
Looks 1960s but maybe wrong.
I’m sure I’ve had bits by the same pottery but I can’t think what it is.
Looks a bit like Richard Freeman’s Bath Pottery.
? Thank you everyone for looking and helping.

Ben, Briglin is a possibility. The clay is spot on, base is spot on and the way that blue glaze drips onto the base is right. The wax resist is good and so it the colour. The only thing is I've not seen that pattern before or that shape but they did new stuff all the time.

Banana for scale would help

Thanks Crawford. I’ve not handled enough Briglin apart from cups and money boxes and the odd vase. The clay is quite a shiny red which looks right. It’s a big planter. Over 6” tall and 7 3/4” across.

They did decorated traditional plant pots, with a hole in the bottom and a dish, but they were flat sided with the flange at the top. Its somewhere between possibly Briglin to probably Briglin. They made all sots of stuff so why not planters.

Possibly to probably. I like that. I do like a nice clear mark though! But even without one I find nice pottery planters sell well as they’re fun to use. Thanks Crawford.
