I'm not finding anything. It's possible it was a collaboration between two manufacturers. One making the chinaware outside the US, and the other decorating it and retailing it inside the US; there were a number of companies doing that in the early C20th to get round the high tariffs on imports. This possibly dates from the early 20thC

Thank you! This is very interesting. I now know why I cannot find any other pottery with this marking. A man named James L. Murphy was an expert on Ohio pottery and wrote the article. He passed away in 2012 I believe.
