MURANO OR WHITEFRIARS? Czech Palme-Koenig Empty MURANO OR WHITEFRIARS? Czech Palme-Koenig

I've found this rather heavy lump of controlled amber bubble crystal with this clear crystal cat sitting on top. The base has a clean hollowed out pontil in the manner of Whitefriars. It could be Italian?? It's well made (not my cup of tea) but can't find another one to ID it. Anyone have any clues? Thanks

Nice piece - it is Czech from the 1950s.
Made at Palme-Koenig glassworks, from a whole range of small ashtrays with applied animals.
