It might be a Western signature rather than Japanese kanji marks. The addition of the red glaze looks US studio rather than Japanese, and the orange and yellow looks like a Western shino, but the shape is certainly influenced by Japanese forms.

The glazes suggest to me that it isn't Japanese but, as Naomi says, it is influence by Japanese ceramics but not in the style of the specific type of Japanese pottery.
