Well potted and decorated.

Only half the bottom of the pot showing. I don't think 1937 is a date. It does not look 1930's.

It helps to change the setting to ‘640 px width’ when uploading photos so the whole image is visible without having to click on it.

Sorry for poor photo.
You could well be right that it’s a code not a date.
I did get exited as I thought it was early Studio piece. And perhaps it could be. But it was a fair bit of money to chance. I quite like it though.

Looks like a date to me. Looks like they were influenced by Honiton pottery
