Re: Colin Kellam
It has been suggested this is by Colin Kellam? Certainly looks to have the KK mark, not sure what the other mark is though? Will have to do some hunting.

Re: Colin Kellam
Colin Kellam employed a number of people to throw and decorate in his pottery over the years and the other impressed seal would almost certainly be that of the thrower of this jug. It may have been decorated by the thrower or by someone else. I haven't been able to track down the thrower.

Re: Colin Kellam
In reality the double K mark with the second one reversed is the mark to say that the piece was made at the Colin Kellam Pottery rather than a personal seal to say that Colin Kellam made the piece.

Flower brick vase
Can anyone help ID this vase for me, there is no makers mark but there is a JK Hill London label to the front, I have found this was a pottery shop that sold various potters work, any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Colin Kellam
Thanks for your replies, I have added a picture of the base, unfortunately it is not signed, is this typical of Colin Kellam pottery?

Re: Colin Kellam
Not all items are stamped; sometimes at the retailer's request. Or It may have had a label or a loose sheet with Kellam's details instead of a stamp.

Re: Colin Kellam
J K Hill was an outlet selling just British studio pottery and, knowing the people who ran it, I can't imagine that they would have asked for no seal to be put on the item. Therefore I suspect it was just forgotten by mistake, unless it is on one of the sides not shown in your image (often under the glaze).

Re: Colin Kellam
Some CK items (see the lamp bases) also had gold stickers.
It may have just fallen off.

Agreed, Colin Kellam. One of his pieces with the same decoration was sold on eBay recently.
