Re: Celtic (Newlyn & Mousehole)
Yes seen quite a few cats. Love the eyes. Shop keepers always put the price label on the front of items, makes me crazy. End up with a labels marks after a while.

Don't believe all you see on ebay. He was kind enough to accept an offer.22 Crawford St. wrote:gee and looking at the sales he went for the full £95 (full BIN not an offer)
Yeh, I'd not seen nor heard of them before. But t-babes has seen 1 other, whilst having this one. So there's at least 1 other around. But I can't believe such a cute thing wasn't made in larger numbers. So there must be others around ??
There looks to be a finger nail mark at the top of the inside - so I guess they were decorated sitting on someones finger ?
From the glaze, I'd say it clearly a Mousehole piece.

Well, that's certainly where the decorator's finger went. From the glaze, I'd say it clearly a Mousehole piece.

Re: Celtic (Newlyn & Mousehole)
it is usually described as part of the folk range but I have never known what the design is.
Some sort of Celtic symbol perhaps?

Thin Ceramic Vase by Celtic Pottery
Hello, I can't see any markings on this piece but I wondered if anyone recognised the style? Many thanks :)

Unmarked Dish, Celtic Newlyn
This dish looks to have a cockerel decorated in the Celtic style, but is unmarked. There is what may be the remains of the adhesive from a label underneath (not me - I never remove identifying labels).
So, is this Celtic or just 'in the style of'?
