That ubiquitous bought-in cane handle has been used by so many
British studio potters. My D leach eg.

Cane handles saved space in the kiln and i read it was popularised by Heals or Habitat. I think many studio potteries were supplied by the same few companies. They’re so ubiquitous I don’t put much store by them for ID purposes.

Teapots with cane handles were simply easier to make. In the Leach standard Ware range it was mostly cane handles.
